Everyone’s favourite ogre fairytale has inspired a parody burlesque and drag show “ Swamplesque”. After huge success in Australia, Trigger Happy Productions brought the show to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Featuring all your favourite iconic movie lines and songs along with Drag and burlesque performances with incredible costumes, a fire-breathing dragon, incredible vocals from “Princess Fiona” and beautiful, sensual dance routines from Trigger Happy “Shrek”.” Swamplesque” is sensational, outrageously good fun.

The atmosphere is electric and infectious, with the audience lapping up every second, and you can’t help but join in by singing along and cheering every move. The wonderful thing this production has done is create a safe space and community spirit where everyone feels welcomed and empowered.

At the end of the performance, you can see how much the audience’s electric Reactions meant to the cast as they thanked audiences for their run at the fringe and the amazing reception they received. Trigger Happy Productions prides itself on being able to create LGBTQ+ and plus-size art and productions, and they do this incredibly.
